A community project, just steps from Bormio's parish church.
Our facility is in step with the times: the pandemic and digitalization have accelerated the need for intimacy and privacy, even in our sector. We want to offer a service that goes beyond a simple farewell: it is a unique and concrete response to the lack of dignified and suitable spaces to spend the final farewell to a loved one in an intimate and welcoming environment, just like at home, but with all the services and amenities needed in these times. The facility is equipped with accessible bathrooms and two bedrooms. Relatives have the opportunity to grieve in a real home, seeking the privacy they prefer. There are no opening or closing hours, and the use and supervision of the coffin, even remotely, is at the discretion of the family.
The goal is to offer the community a modern, convenient service, located in the historic center of Bormio, just steps from the Parish Church of Bormio. The service is also open to the entire community, including those in the surrounding valleys, for the celebration of secular services or farewells pending funerals/cremation.
Designed to offer privacy to the family with its private and welcoming spaces, Compagnoni Funeral Home offers the possibility of celebrating religious and civil ceremonies thanks to its dedicated Farewell Room.
